SERVICE POLICY

Standard of service

Found City Yoga is committed to providing an excellent standard of service with fair and balanced business practices demonstrating leadership in the market.

We are committed to cultivating and maintaining a safe, healthy, inclusive environment, free from discrimination, for all persons.

Class schedule

We endeavour to provide advance notice of updates to our class schedule, by posting the seasonal schedule for viewing in house and through our social media, by newsletter announcements, and by regular maintenance of our live online schedule. We reserve the right to modify the class schedule without notice.

Weather cancellations

Severe weather or snow may disrupt our normal class schedule due to power outages or transportation and safety issues.

In the event of strong winds, freezing rain, or snow, classes may be cancelled at the last minute. Please check our website or social media, or call the studio for updates to the schedule.

If BC Transit is not running due to snow, then classes will likely be cancelled.

The 6 AM class may be cancelled without notice if snowfall overnight is likely to affect vehicle transportation in the morning.

Power outage cancellations

Your health and safety is our priority, and we are committed to providing a consistent high standard of service, which includes a relatively regulated heat and humidity equation.

In the event of a power outage, classes will be cancelled until power is restored within a minimum of two hours prior to the next scheduled class.

In the event of a heating system failure, classes may be cancelled until the issue is resolved. If our heat is down for any reason, then the 6 AM class will be cancelled. Please check online or call the studio for updates.

Teacher substitutions

The teacher posted online may change without notice due to last-minute teacher substitutions.

Our teaching schedule is available online for convenience only, and is subject to change without notice. Teacher substitutions may occur at the last minute, and the online schedule may not be updated immediately.

Class substitutions

In the event that a substitute teacher cannot be found for a Power Hour or yogahour® class, the class will default to a One Hour Hot (Bikram method) class.

In the event that a substitute teacher cannot be found for a Level II class, the class will default to a standard Bikram Yoga class.

In the event of a last-minute teacher emergency during which a substitute teacher cannot be found for any class, the class may cancelled without notice.

For the purpose of our policy statements, “Membership” means any client pass, including Drop-ins, Intro offers, unlimited terms, monthly contracts, payment plans, and classes packages, and may include passes obtained through Gift Certificates, coupons, special offers, or vouchers, and is therefore subject to all policy regarding Membership services provided by Found City Yoga. Policies apply to all Memberships.

Refunds and transfers

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable, and may not be shared unless otherwise specified.

Activation and duration

Membership terms activate for the duration on the date of the first visit using the Membership, and are valid for the term indicated.

Classes in One Year (e.g., 10 class pass) Membership terms activate with the first visit, and are valid for one year from the date of activation.

Unless otherwise specified, Memberships may be purchased in advance and exist on the client account for future activation. Some restrictions may apply, e.g. a restriction to activate an Annual Unlimited Membership within one year of the purchase date.

Holds, pauses, and extensions

Memberships may not be paused, held, or extended unless otherwise specified, and then only according to the terms specified, such as holds or extensions applied to a Membership term for a specific fee.

Classes in One Year (e.g., 10, 20, 40) Memberships may be paused without additional fees if the client also owns or purchases an unlimited Membership and wishes to switch. For example, the client may switch from a Class Membership to an Unlimited Membership for the duration of the Unlimited Membership term indicated. In this case, the Class Membership will exist on the client account without expiring the classes and time remaining, and will be available for reactivation at a later date.

A one-time only, maximum two-month hold may be applied to the Annual Unlimited Membership, for a $25 hold fee.

Expired classes

Expiring class Memberships or expired classes may be extended or re-activated for a $25 extension fee for two months. Consecutive two-month extension terms may be purchased for $25 each.

Alternatively, expiring Memberships or expired classes may be extended or re-activated with the purchase of a new Membership of equal or greater value. In this case, the extension fee is waived, the expired classes are moved to the new Membership, and the total number of classes are activated for one full year with no additional fee.

Pricing

We strive to keep our services pricing schedule fair, competitive, sustainable, and relevant to the market. We endeavour to provide advance notice of updates. Our pricing schedule may change without notice.
